Ann is a physical therapist with over 30 years’ experience, specializing in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and a board certified health and wellness coach.
Ann began her yoga journey 25 years ago (when her children were babies) and fell in love with the combination of physical strengthening and balance combined with mental relaxation and rest. Yoga complimented Ann’s years of running, hiking and kayaking for exercise and inspired a meditation practice for relaxation.
In 2006 Ann became certified in Cardia Yoga to bring the benefits of yoga to her cardiac rehabilitation patients, in Cancer yoga in 2009, and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Kripalu in 2011.
Gentle healing yoga class is designed so that through a sequence of movements and breathing anybody can experience the many benefits of yoga. There is a particular focus on safety, focus and relaxation. Using chairs and modifications, students of all abilities can participate and access the potential for increased strength, coordination, balance and relaxation that yoga has to offer.
